Program/University Overview
Queen Mary University of London has a world-renowned faculty and a variety of academic options that can accommodate all majors. It is situated in the heart of the East End, an area of London with a rich past, but also one which has become one of the capital’s most vibrant and exciting areas. The East End of London is an area rich in history and cultural diversity and is very much the “real” London. The main campus building is an imposing white stone edifice dating from 1887, but the sixteen-acre site now consists mainly of modern purpose-built buildings which houses faculty and administrative offices, the Great Hall, a new library, the Informatics Teaching Laboratory, three restaurants, a cafe-bar, bank, bookshop, health center, students residences and the Students’ Union Building. Student Testimonials:

Studying at Queen Mary offered more than I could ever have expected: it truly was the experience of a lifetime. Traveling London by foot and by tube and seeing sights I have heard about for years was a dream come true. Queen Mary’s accommodation provides a wonderful opportunity to meet people, living in a flat of six people I made very close friends that I remain in contact with to this day.

Leaving my own country not only exposed me to new ideas and cultures, but also enabled me to reflect on my own country’s way of life. The UKs education system is focused on independent study which poses a great academic challenge and benefits students greatly.

Academically, socially, and politically students are challenged to open their minds to a new way of life. These characteristics are unique to studying abroad, so grasp this opportunity and enjoy your stay in the world class city of London! – Ian Beck, Duquesne University
